Jazzie december 26-án, 1 hónappal a 9. születésnapja előtt hősies küzdelmet követően elment.

Történetünk egy állatkertben született, 7 éves koráig ott is nevelkedett Német Doggal kezdődött. Amint tudomást szereztem róla, hogy helyhiány miatt el akarják altatni, azonnal Érte mentem. Döntésemet az elkövetkező másfél évben egy percre sem bántam meg, bár nem volt könnyű újra büszke Német Dogot nevelni Carmenből.  De sikerült, és így megismerhettem a fajta jellegzetes vonásait, melybe beletartozik a büszkeség, elegancia, méltóság, és a mérhetetlen intelligencia. A Német Dog a törődést százszorosan hálálja meg szeretetével és kitűnő emberismeretével, melyet Bismarck kancellár ismert fel. Őrző-védő kategóriába sorolt fajta, mivel eredetileg tigris-, vaddisznó-, illetve medvevadászatra tenyésztették ki, már az ókori Egyiptomban is fellelhetőek ősei. Ugyanakkor kitűnő idegrendszere teszi a gyermekek legjobb játszótársává is.

Our story began with a Great Dane, who was born in a zoo, and She was also bred there, till She was 7 years old. When I got to know, that the Director wanted to narcotize Her in order to have more place in the zoo,  I did not hesitate, but immediately ran to the zoo, and bought Her. In the next 1,5 years I never regret my decision, not for a single moment, though it was not easy to make Carmen a proud Great Dane again. But I succeeded, and this way I could get to know the specific features of this race. Some of these features are proudness, elegancy, dignity and the immense intelligency. The Great Dane is very grateful for Your caring, with love and broadbase knowledge of people, which was first known for Chancellor Bismarck . The race can be found in the II. category, because originally it was bred for tiger / boar / bear hunting. The ancestors of Great Danes can be found in the antique Egypt too. Meanwhile the excellent nervous system of Great Danes makes them the best pals for kids.
